Secret of finding a job

Planning & Positive Emotions Key to successful job search.

University of Mizzou researchers found that planning activities like goal setting and personal development plan along with positive thoughts has a huge say in successful job search.

The study found that metacognitive activities, including goal setting and plan development, affect resume submission and success in first interviews, while the ability to maintain positive emotions plays a larger role during second interviews and receiving a final job offer.

Based on the findings, job seekers must make a career development plan and continuously analyze their progress. It also is important to remain positive through the numerous rejections.
