Jobseekers should look beyond job boards.

An article in New York Times suggests that instead of spending time on job boards a jobseeker should try to meet the concerned people directly.
 
While it is a good suggestion, I doubt whether it will yield happy results in isolation.
 
A jobseeker should troll the job boards for new opportunities and at the same time should look beyond them He should leverage his contacts and his professional network simultaneously to get employed at the earliest.
