Can you learn from a difficult boss?

Early in my career, I think it was my second job; I had the ‘misfortune’ to work under a Sales supervisor, whose management style was to ‘suspect’ anything and everything I did. For example, if I brought in an order, he would call up the customer and check with him whether it was genuine.

Needless to add I worked just three months under him.

Whenever I think of that experience, I superiorly conclude I learnt how not to manage from him.

This is an extreme example. However, this article Year with difficult Boss helps grow a Career made me ask myself, can we learn anything from a difficult boss?

My answer is yes, what will be your answer?
