45% of your behavior is repetitious and unthinking

This is an astounding fact:

 

…..research demonstrates that much of human behavior is automatic. Studies of people keeping activity diaries show that about 45% of daily human behavior is repetitious and unthinking. In a study published recently in the Journal of Consumer Psychology showed that people fall back on their habits -- such as buying fast food -- even when they intend to do otherwise.

 

Imagine converting 5% of your unthinking activities to thinking activities, the impact on your career and personal development will be tremendous.
