Are You A Visionary Thought-leader?

Are You A Visionary Thought-leader?

The word visionary has been much bandied about, without any concern to what it means. Being acknowldeged as a visionary thought leader is a badge of honour to many.

Frankly, my estimation of these visionaries is coloured by the definitions below and I find them quiet apt when it comes to describing these "visionary thought leaders".

Here is one sample:

Characterized by vision or foresight.
Having the nature of fantasies or dreams; illusory.
Existing in imagination only; imaginary.
Characterized by or given to apparitions, prophecies, or revelations.
Given to daydreams or reverie; dreamy.
Not practicable or realizable; utopian: visionary schemes for getting rich.
Tending to envision things in perfect but unrealistic form; idealistic.
n., pl. -ies.
One who is given to impractical or speculative ideas; a dreamer.
One who has visions; a seer.

Here is another:

[noun] a person given to fanciful speculations and enthusiasms with little regard for what is actually possible
[noun] a person with unusual powers of foresightSynonyms: illusionist, seer
[adjective] not practical or realizable; speculative; "airy theories about socioeconomic improvement"; "visionary schemes for getting rich"Synonyms: airy, impractical, Laputan
