Another article about effective resumes, this time in the Deccan Herald.
You can read the complete article here.
The article did not have many new things to say. (How many angles can you come up when you are writing about resumes?)
I thought the following points needed repetition.
The first step in making an effective resume is to approach it from the potential employer’s point of view.
Look at your resume as a personal branding exercise.
At every stage, your resume is going to be the basis on which, the initial screening, preliminary interview and the job offer is made. So look at all components of the resume individually and as a whole.
And always, always remember to personalize your resume for each vacancy.
