The booming economy, has created a huge demand and supply gap, a shortage of skilled manpower across the board.
This is true for corporate and also for SBUs.
The SBUs do not have the capacity to pay huge paycheques. So they take in freshers, train and develop them.
The corporate do not have the inclination to develop skilled manpower so they employ placement consultants and hire the cream away from the SBUs.
So where does it leave the SBUs, they either have to offer huge salaries, which in turn increases their overheads,or keep developing raw talent and sit back and watch the dollar companies poach their top talent..
